Johannesburg – Get ready, South Africa! The Rand Show is back from 2 to 6 April 2026, and it’s promising to be the biggest, most exciting event yet. This iconic five-day festival is packing in everything from fun rides and shopping to culture and cool new tech.
“It’s not just a show, it’s a celebration of everything South Africans love,” says organiser Sipho Mkhize. “There’s something for everyone, whether you’re here for family fun, shopping, or just to see what’s new.”
The event will transform the Johannesburg Expo Centre into a vibrant hub of activity. Hall 8 will once again be a magical children’s paradise, with a new themed kids’ zone set to wow young visitors. The theme will be revealed in January, promising more unforgettable moments for families.
Hall 7 is getting a big upgrade with The Market Place, now featuring 150 stalls of curated crafts, fashion, and lifestyle goods. There’s also a new Township Economy Pavilion, showcasing local talent and entrepreneurship. Plus, the hall will host the popular Bridal Fair and Matric Fair, complete with fashion shows and competitions.
Tech fans and gamers won’t be left out. Hall 9 is launching a brand-new Tech and Gaming Arena, packed with AI demos, VR experiences, robotics, and eSports. “It’s where future creators can get inspired,” says tech enthusiast Thandi Nkosi.
Hall 6 has been redesigned into themed retail districts — making shopping easier and more fun. Visitors can browse through sections dedicated to home décor, beauty, fashion, furniture, and even cars.
For those who just want to get creative, Messy Masterpieces invites everyone to paint and express themselves. No experience needed — just bring your imagination!
And there’s more. A major American restaurant chain will be launching at the show, along with a celebrity appearance that’s still under wraps. That’s sure to draw a crowd.
Of course, the line-up of entertainment is stacked. Expect performances from top local and international artists, a fun fair with adrenaline rides, mouth-watering food stalls, and exhibitions that celebrate South African culture. Kids, teens, and adults will find plenty to do.
“Whether you’re coming with your family, your friends, or just on your own adventure, The Rand Show 2026 is going to be unforgettable,” says Mkhize. “It’s a fresh new chapter for one of our biggest celebrations.”
